Have you ever played cribbage before?

Cribbage is so great. You’re going to love playing cribbage.

Cribbage is a centuries old card game known for it’s unique wooden score board. It’s way simpler than it’s going to seem after reading this explanation of how to play. We swear - just try it. You’ll pick it up along the way.

It has three phases - The Crib, The Play and the Score. To start each player is dealt six cards per round, and two cards from each hand are set aside for the Crib.

Then there's a round of playing cards from each players hands until the total of the played cards reaches 31 or you run out of cards to play.

After this phase points are tallied up for every pair, run, flush or cards totalling 15 that you have in your hand and crib. This happens many times, and when someone reaches 121 points, they win!

We’ve left a lot of details out of this summary because it really is a game better learned through playing. Wouldn’t you rather have this explained by a grandpa anyways?
